I thought I wanted to be a nurse...so, I’ll never forget the day my mom told me about a teacher’s aide position at a new school called Yuba City Charter School. Within a few months of taking the position, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Since the fall of 2001, I have had the privilege and honor to be involved with so many students in a variety of areas. My years of teaching have enriched my life and I thank God that I am able to be part of this profession. I have also had the honor of working with some of the best - all of my colleagues have taught me something in some form or another. I look forward to many more years of teaching, growing, learning and being part of more children’s lives. This year, I am enjoying my second year as the third grade teacher. I have also taken on the task, as part of my student teaching phase, of teaching 9th grade English. Both of those roles bring me great joy as I am working to do what I know I have been destined to do with my life.
